Obama Set to do Something ... Good?
Wednesday, March 31 @ 00:30:59 EDT by default
Barack ObamaNow this is news. The press is leaking that the White House is considering lifting some of the bans along the Atlantic coast, the eastern Gulf of Mexico and the north coast of Alaska to allow drilling for oil and natural gas.

It's about time we had some good news around here.

Update:

Fox News Radio is reporting that the proposals for opening up drilling on the Alaskan coast have been rejected.

The Fight is ON!
Tuesday, March 23 @ 23:38:26 EDT by default
Barack Obama
TALLAHASSEE (AP) - Republican attorneys general from 13 states are suing the federal government to stop the massive health care overhaul, claiming it's unconstitutional.

The lawsuit was filed immediately after President Barack Obama signed the overhaul bill Tuesday. It names the U.S. departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury and Labor.

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is taking the lead in the lawsuit. Attorneys general from South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Utah, Pennsylvania, Alabama, South Dakota, Louisiana, Idaho, Washington and Colorado are joining in. Other GOP attorneys general may join the lawsuit later or sue separately.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Pensacola.

Click here to read the lawsuit

Now hold on a minute, Obama. I'd sure appreciate it if you'd be a little more polite to the American people.

Are we a socialist nation or are we a free nation? One of the key battles that will put an end to this question once and for all may be fought in Texas. I couldn't be prouder to be a resident of the Lone Star State than I am today.

I think they were wrong when they said that the health care bill would be Obama's Waterloo. Obamacare is the ALAMO. 2012 is Obama's Battle of San Jacinto.

For the First Time in My Life I am Ashamed of My Country
Monday, March 22 @ 08:15:26 EDT by default
Barack ObamaI wake up today in a different land. Not the land of the free and the home of the brave whose life, liberty and pursuit of happiness my grandfather, my father, myself and so many others swore and gave our lives to protect but in a land whose freedom rich elitist politicians sold away amidst shady deals in the heat of the night despite the valiant efforts of the vast majority of the American people who tried to stop it. The men and women of Congress who once sent me to war to defend my country have corrupted it from within. Today if I lay down my life for my country there is no honor in it. Today if I go to war for my country - it’s just a job.

As a Tricare recipient who provides for a family I must now consider my options. I have been told that Tricare is not an Obama approved health care plan even though it is the one given to me and my family by the military. But why should I play by the rules when the Democrats have just finished wiping their collective asses with my Constitution? There is no honor left. This administration and the leftists in this country have made it clear that they do not care what we think. They only need us for our money and then they’ll use it to rain a shit storm on us. There is no reason to continue to heed the government who refuses to follow its own laws and yet assumes to dictate to the people what products we must buy. It sorta reminds me of that old conspiracy flick, THEY LIVE!; We are now mandated consumers. Today I expect that health insurance stocks will skyrocket as the insurance companies begin considering rate hikes on their new captive customer base. They have yet to find out however that because the cost of purchasing health insurance is higher than the fine for avoiding it and because they can no longer deny us care under any circumstances - there is no reason for any sane person to purchase health insurance until the very second they get sick. Mark my words as millions of people choose to 'opt out' of this 'historic' new plan. But Our Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama isn't stupid after all. He knew this would happen and when it does he will step in with emergency fixes that will cement the left's claim to power in this country and will seal the deal with America to bring single payer to her powerless citizens.

But all is not lost. I am a citizen of the Great State of Texas who's Governor, last year announced staunch opposition to federal mandated socialized medicine; "I agree with Texas' 7th Governor - and I happen to think it's greatest governor; Sam Houston who once said, 'Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression come from what source it may. We didn't like oppression then, we don't like oppression now!" I was afraid this day would come and I remembered what my Governor said. That is why I voted for him in the Republican primaries. Now is the time to keep your word, Governor. While the rest of the Union of the United States spends itself into oblivion, Texas has hardly been touched by the recession and the clear reason is because Texas maintains a competitive business friendly environment. My friends and neighbors in Texas believe in the right to bear arms and we believe that our government has no authority to force us to buy a damned thing. Last night following the vote on the health care abomination my Governor made this statement:

"Unfortunately, the health care vote had more to do with expanding socialism on American soil than it does fixing our health care finance and delivery systems. The Obama health care bill undermines patient choice, personal responsibility, medical innovation and fiscal responsibility in America."

"As passed by the U.S. House, the bill will cost Texas taxpayers billions more, and drive our nation much deeper into debt. Congress's backroom deals and parliamentary maneuvers undermined the public trust and increased cynicism in our political process."

"Texas leaders will continue to do everything in our power to fight this federal excess and find ways to protect our families, taxpayers and medical providers from this gross federal overreach."

Today, several other state governments who still believe in liberty are filing lawsuits against the Federal Government of the oppressive United States of America. I stand in solidarity with those in other states who hold liberty dear and plan to fight, with my forefathers who fought and died for it, the founding fathers who never intended this to happen, my friends, my neighbors and my Governor in Texas when I say:

Texas has not yet begun to fight!

Update (Via Breitbart):

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said he planned to file the complaint "the moment Obama signs the bill."

Abbott pledged to pursue the case "to protect all Texans' constitutional rights, preserve the constitutional framework intended by our nation's founders and defend our state from further infringement by the federal government."

March 23, 2010 - Update:

A friend of mine told me about this link at Tricare that says that Obama has deemed Tricare hopey-changey enough to keep the health care police from paying you a visit if you don't get additional coverage. The assurance is on this is coming primarily from the White House so personally I'll believe it when I see it in concrete, but for those interested: How does the National Health Care Reform affect TRICARE?

The Ego has Landed
Sunday, January 17 @ 10:17:15 EST by default
Barack ObamaThe Ego As many of you may remember, Republican Chris Christie defeated Democrat incumbent Jon Corzine last November in New Jersey's Gubernatorial race despite 3 visits from on high by the Messiah. Despite the big media political spin on the issue, the fact of the matter is that Corzine ran as a liberal Obama lackey and lost.

"New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine has embraced the president with gusto, regularly invoking his name on the campaign trail and embracing his agenda at every opportunity." -- (Politico)

So why then is Our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama flying out to Massachusetts this afternoon to campaign for Democratic Senatorial candidate Martha Coakley in the run-off election to fill what was previously Ted Kennedy's seat? The conventional wisdom is that if Obama shows up, it must mean that the White House has polling data that shows that either Coakley is winning or that an appearance from The One will push Coakley over the top. But Obama's poll numbers have not been very favorable lately, and considering the embarrassment in New Jersey, not to mention his failed Olympic bid, the conventional wisdom begins to sound more and more like wishful thinking on the part of the Democrats.

Last Thursday Scott Brown, the Republican senatorial candidate, made this statement concerning a possible appearance by Obama, “He should stay away and let Martha and I discuss the issues one on one... The machine is coming out of the woodwork to get her elected. They’re bringing in outsiders, and we don’t need them.”

When I first heard this story I heard it from a liberal media outlet and of course they were predictably angry about it. But the way they said it made me think - what if Scott Brown considered the left's reaction in advance before he made the statement? What if he knew how angry it would make them? Well, then that would make the statement a dare. Scott Brown dared Obama to come knowing full well that his appearance could only hurt Coakley's campaign and Obama, always the narcissist, took the bait hook, line and sinker.

If I'm right, and Brown actually pulls it off. This will shut down the Obama White House "permanent campaign" and officially reign in the era of the "lame duck" - at least as far as the "Obama brand" goes. That on top of the irony that the "Kennedy Health Care Bill" would be definitively voted down by the very people who elected Kennedy.

Update:

CNN Senior White House Correspondent, Ed Henry reported this afternoon that the White House believes Coakley will lose the senate race. This tidbit tells us two things; 1, the conventional wisdom was wrong and 2, Obama went anyway. It's starting to look like my assertion about Brown's "dare" was correct.

January 27, 2010 - Update:

While Brown has not admitted to goading The Messiah into coming out to Massachusetts to give Coakley the kiss of death, his decisive victory certainly shows that whatever his plan was, it worked. So it appears that I was right about Brown's triple-dog-dare to Obama but I was wrong about something else.

The Obama administration is not going to give up on it's "permanent campaign", as a matter of fact they've just decided to bring David Plouffe back to ratchet it up even more.The brutal upset in Massachusetts wasn't a referendum on Obama, the liberal elite say. No, Republican senatorial candidate Scott Brown was swept into office by the fiery anger and hatred of President George W. Bush.

It's almost sad in a way, to watch these elitist snobs direct themselves right into a death spiral thinking that it is the very thing that will save them. When they crash I'll be just about a surprised as someone watching the coyote smack against the pavement after diving off of a cliff chasing the road runner. Meanwhile, I fully support Obama's decision to crank up the liberal campaign machine. I hope he is able to provide all of his party's candidates with the same assistance he gave to Coakley and Corzine.

C-SPAN and White House Web Site to Broadcast Speech Live

Please note speech scheduled one hour earlier to Noon Eastern Time

On September 8, 2009, history will be made. Will you be a part of it?

At 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time (ET), President Barack Obama will deliver a national address to the students of America. (Please note that this is a change from the originally scheduled time.) During this special address, the president will speak directly to the nation’s children and youth about persisting and succeeding in school. The president will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning.

The U.S. Department of Education encourages students of all ages, teachers, and administrators to participate in this historic moment by watching the president deliver the address, which will be broadcast live on the White House Web site (http://www.whitehouse.gov/live/) and on C-SPAN at 12:00 p.m., ET. We also encourage educators to use this moment to help students get focused and inspired to begin the new academic year. The Department of Education offers educators a menu of classroom activities—created by its teachers-in-residence, the Teaching Ambassador Fellows—to help engage students in the address and stimulate classroom discussions about the importance of education.

To further encourage student engagement, the U.S. Department of Education is launching the "I Am What I Learn" video contest. On September 8, we will ask students to respond to the president’s challenge by creating videos, up to two minutes in length, describing the steps they will take to improve their education and the role education will play in fulfilling their dreams.

Please encourage all students age 13 and older to create and upload their videos to YouTube by October 8. Submissions can be in the form of video blogs, public service announcements (PSAs), music videos, or documentaries. Students are encouraged to have fun and be creative with this project! The general public will then vote on their favorites to determine the top 20 finalists. These 20 videos will be reviewed by a panel of judges including U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The panel will choose three winners, each of whom will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Starting this Friday, you can visit www.ed.gov/iamwhatilearn to find out more.

September 6, 2009 - Update:

The White House has released a statement saying that they will release the transcript of Obama's speech on the White House website on Monday. The administration is also assuring the public that the speech will not contain any political elements. Personally, I'll believe that when I see it, and only when I see it. This president is so partisan in his views I have absolutely no doubt that just as Nancy Pelosi calls herself, "post partisan", Obama would also consider his points of view to be bipartisan. While the administration continues to talk about working for bipartisan health reform, to date republicans have had almost no say in any of the legislation. The American public know these things and have very good reason to be skeptical. This president was elected to the White House on a wind of "change" and bipartisanship and has turned out to be the most partisan president I have lived under.

Civilian National Security Force Becomes Reality
Wednesday, September 02 @ 09:15:12 EDT by default

March 8, 2009 - House adopts plan for 'volunteer' corps (WorldNetDaily)
April 21, 2009 - Obama signs H.R. 1388; the "Serve America Act" (GovTrack)

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a plan to set up a new "volunteer corps" and consider whether "a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people" should be developed. The legislation also refers to "uniforms" that would be worn by the "volunteers" and the "need" for a "public service academy, a 4-year institution" to "focus on training" future "public sector leaders." The training, apparently, would occur at "campuses."

And with that, they flipped the switch:

CitizenCorps.gov
Serve.gov (What in the holy fuck is this?)

Alaska Citizen Corps
Deleware Citizen Corps
Florida Citizen Corps
Illinois Citizen Corps
New Hampshire Citizen Corps
Missouri Citizen Corps
Ohio Citizen Corps
Texas Citizen Corps
Utah Citizen Corps

This is only a taste. Google "citizen corps" and you will get endless states, cities, counties and other organizations yet discovered. I think this is breaking news; I have not heard anything about it yet. I just watched Janet Napolitano do an interview about something unimportant, and behind her was a background with a readable URL; CitizenCorps.gov

According to the site, this is the "mission" of "Citizen Corps":

Citizen Corps Council activities include:

Educate residents about disaster preparedness measures;
Implement public education and outreach efforts;
Provide training to improve citizen preparedness, prevention and response capabilities;
Promote the importance of drills in the home, workplace, and school;
Coordinate citizen participation in community disaster response activities;
Coordinate volunteer opportunities that support local efforts in mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery;

Citizen Corps Council Responsibilities include:

Promote and strengthen the Citizen Corps programs at the community level, such as Volunteers in Police Service programs, CERT teams, Medical Reserve Corps units, and Neighborhood Watch groups;
Provide opportunities for special skills and interests;
Develop targeted outreach for the community, including special needs groups;
Provide opportunities of training in first aid and emergency preparedness;
Organize special projects and community events;
Encourage cooperation and collaboration among community leaders; and
Capture smart practices and report accomplishments; and
Create opportunities for all residents to participate.

Obama Seeks to Charge Vets for Service Related Health Conditions
Wednesday, March 18 @ 00:15:22 EDT by default
Barack Obama While the Obama administration hands out billions of dollars to prop up failed businesses, it seeks to save $540 million in tax revenue by forcing vets to use private insurance for service related health concerns. While no official details of the plan have been made available, it seems to me that the big idea is that if a veteran has private insurance he will be forced to use it and pay any deductibles involved, thus causing a cascade of side effects including higher insurance premiums for military veterans.

Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion met with Obama on March 16th after which he was quoted as saying, "It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan," ... "This reimbursement plan would be inconsistent with the mandate 'to care for him who shall have borne the battle' given that the United States government sent members of the armed forces into harm's way, and not private insurance companies. I say again that The American Legion does not and will not support any plan that seeks to bill a veteran for treatment of a service connected disability at the very agency that was created to treat the unique need of America's veterans!"

The meeting between senior officials from veterans service organizations with President Obama, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki and Steven Kosiak, the overseer of defense spending at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) came as a response to a letter of protest co-signed by Commander Rehbein and the heads of ten colleague organizations. The following is excerpted from the letter: "There is simply no logical explanation for billing a veteran's personal insurance for care that the VA has a responsibility to provide. While we understand the fiscal difficulties this country faces right now, placing the burden of those fiscal problems on the men and women who have already sacrificed a great deal for this country is unconscionable."

If the government can't even afford to cover expenses for health concerns veterans receive following orders while serving in the military how in the hell does it expect to cover the health care of every single individual residing in the United States, citizen or not. It comes as no surprise to me, but it is clear where Mr. Obama's priorities lie. Illegal Alien > Injured War Hero. This government becomes more revolting every single day.

The Era of Responsibility
Wednesday, February 11 @ 02:34:30 EST by default
Barack ObamaThe Messiah will make all of our dreams come true. And if he doesn't, maybe the Republicans will...

Henrietta Hughes receives house from Florida State Representative Nick Thompson (R).

After the president left, reporters crowded around Hughes, doing one interview after another. People in the crowd handed her business cards and cash.

That was my desire. - Henrietta Hughes

Allow me to be the first to chastise Mr. Thompson for doing this. I know, I'm supposed to say, "See? Democrats make all of these promises and its the Republicans who deliver!" While this is generally true, this particular act is transparent political posturing on Rep. Thomas' part. What is he going to do the when the next looter in line asks for his house?

February 15, 2009 - Update:

A local news agency found that Miss Hughes sold a plot of land in 2005 for $47,000 and recently has turned down free housing and job training from local charities. She also receives a "disability" check of $800 monthly.

July 7, 2009 - Update:

According to an article published June 16, 2004 in New York's Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Henrietta's son Corey who lives with her has been jobless and has receiving various forms of assistance since 2002. (The article was published in 2004, but includes this quote: "Hughes, who has not had a steady job for two years...")

For Clarification:

A liberal friend of mine accused me of attempting to "mislead" people by wording the above link; "Henrietta Hughes receives house". First let me say that I do the best that I can not to plagiarize the work of others no matter who the source may be. That is why you don’t see me copying and pasting entire news stories like some people do. Not that other people are horrible for doing this, I just personally try to provide all original content. Secondly, when I link pages I generally (but not always) copy the headline to the text of the link. So it is likely that at the time the headline used the same wording as the link. As we all are aware, news stores are updated over time.

To be perfectly clear, Henrietta Hughes was loaned a house by Florida State Representative Nick Thompson, essentially making Hughes a “house sitter”. However, as this “loan” was given free of charge, as a gift, I do not believe it was misleading to say that she was “given” or had “received” a house.

To further clarify, many mainstream media outlets and other bloggers referred to the gift in this way. Cases in point: Huffington Post - Henrietta Hughes Given Home After Telling Obama She Was Homeless and NBC News - Homeless woman highlighted in Obama appearance receives house. (My friend had also commented that it was more misleading to use the word "received" than "given", which in my mind closes the case that he comes from a very biased point of view.) If one is to accuse me of attempting to mislead readers, one must first also and more importantly accuse the much larger media outlets of NBC and the Huffington Post – among many others.

Obama Administration Adopts the Bush Doctrine
Saturday, February 07 @ 16:30:33 EST by default
Barack ObamaVice President Joe Biden, while addressing attendees of the International Conference on Security Policy, Sicherheitskonferenz, at the hotel "Bayerischer Hof" in Munich, southern Germany, today reasserted that the US is willing to talk to Iran but "..held out the option that the U.S. could take pre-emptive action against Iran if necessary..."

Interestingly, Iranian parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani left the room during a break and did not return for the Biden address.

I guess ole Ali finds liberal blowhards as boring as I do, but its always possible he was irresistibly drawn to an Arby's Roast Beef sale across the street?

Just more evidence that the left's outrage regarding President Bush and the whole Iraq issue is nothing than a streaming crock.

Source: Biden: U.S. will talk to Iran, but act if necessary - MSNBC

Bush Doctrine Hypocrisy

While on the issue of the Bush Doctrine, I want to note that I did some quick research into the left's views on this particularly. Most criticisms center around the Iraq war and are therefore simple blue vs. red partisanship in my opinion. Something that interested me however was the recurring use of the word "pre-emptive". While I am sure that Republicans have used this word to describe the Bush Doctrine, it seems to me that the war it references was more post-emptive (read a bit too late) than pre-emtive. Saddam Hussein was a known scumbag (a point the left will agree with) who had killed thousands of civilians using chemical weapons (of mass destruction) and was a generally a dangerously aggressive tyrant. This is clearly an issue where intelligent people can disagree and be sure, I personally would not call myself a staunch supporter of the Iraq war but it is crystal clear to me that Mr. Hussein had already done plenty to warrant his removal. I consider the whole notion that President Bush is some kind of war criminal to be dangerously fascist, which just happens to coincide with such up-and-coming liberal policies as the Fairness Doctrine and the Employee "Free Choice" Act among many other issues whose sole purpose is to cement the Democrats' claim to power.

I suppose in the end it all comes down to who you trust more; big government or big business.

Obama Campaign Psy-Ops Division?
Friday, October 31 @ 01:01:41 EDT by default
Barack ObamaRush Limbaugh mentioned this blog post on his radio show today, not that he lent it any credibility, he just thought it was worth mentioning;

sarah p Says:
October 27, 2008 at 5:04 am

Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little. Hopefully you could make a blog post to help some fellow clinton supporters out.

I work for a campaign and can’t wait for this week to be over.

I was doing it for a job. I was not a fan of any candidate but over time grew to love HRC.

The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you.

We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama”

We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence.

We did this the whole primary and it worked.

Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc.

This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and vote turnout issues.

Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the youtube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support.

People makes posts to the effect that the world has “gone mad”

Thats the intention. To make you feel stressed and crazy and feel like the world is ending.

We have also had quite a hand in skewing many many polls, some we couldn’t control as much as we would have liked. But many we have spoiled over. Just enough to make real clear politics look scarey to a mccain supporter. Its worked, alough the goal was to appear 13-15 points ahead.

see, the results have been working. People tend to support a winner, go with the flow, become “sheeple”

The polls are roughly 3-5 points in favor of Barack. Thats due to our inflation of the polls and pulling in the sheeple.

Our donors, are the same people who finance the MSM. Their interests are tied, Barack then tends to come across as teflon. Nothing sticks. And trust, there were meetings with Fox news. The goal was to blunt them as much as possible. Watch Bill Oreilly he has become much more diplomatic and “fair and balanced” and soft. Its because he wants to retain the #1 spot on cable news and to do that he has to have access to the Obama campaign and we worked hard at stringing him a long and keeping him soft for an interview swap. It worked and now he is anticipating more access. So he is playing it still soft.

This is why nothing sticks.

The operation is massive, the goal is to paint a picture that is that of a winner, regardless of the results.

There is no true inauguration draft or true grant park construction going on. There will be a party, but we are boasting beyond the truth to make it seem like the election is wrapped up.

Our goal is to continue to make you lose your moral. We worked hard at persuasion and paying off and timing and playing the right political numbers to get key republican endorsements to make it seem even more like it was over and the world was coming to an end for you all.

There is a huge staff of people working around the clock, watching every site, blogs, etc. We flood these sites. We have had a goal to overwhelm.

The truth is here. I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

I am saying this because I know HRC was better for the country, and now realize this. I was too late by the time I connected to her. To me Barack was just a cool young dude that seemed like a star. I didn’t know him or his policies, but now I understand more than I care to and I realize his interests are more for him, and the DNC and all working like puppets with dean. I always thought a president wanted the better good for the country. The end result I see is everyone dependent on the government, this means more and more people voting for the DNC. This means the future is forever altered. I don’t see this as america, so I am now supporting John Mccain.

Sarah Palin is a huge threat, and our campaign has feared her like you can’t imagine. If it seems unfair how she has been treated, well its because she has had a team working round the clock to make her look like a fool.

this is a big conspiracy and I am so shocked that its not realized.

We released a little blurb the other day that the Obama campaign was already working on reelection and now putting our efforts towards 2012. This was to make it seem like it was above us to continue caring about 2008. Trust me, its a lie. David is very smart, but its a sticky ugly not very truthful kind of intelligence.

Its not over yet, but I think the machine is working. And its a hill to climb.

I will be quitting my post on nov 5th and my vote will be for John Mccain. Fortunately, my position has been a marketing position and I don’t feel I had any part of anything I would feel guilty for. But I look forward to getting out of this as the negativity and environment upsets me.

I wish you all well, and goodluck.

PS my name is not really sarah. but I am a female and I understand your plight.

Now, don't mis-judge. This is an anonymous poster, making a huge accusation against the Obama campaign. I personally don't lend it any other credibility than that other than to say for me, something about this just makes me wonder...

So I did some digging, and I was able to substantiate "Sarah P.'s" claim about the "2012 blurb". Among other websites, I found the article on the Huffington Post.

This article does in a small way substantiate a tiny portion of this claim. I wasn't able to come up with anything more than that. I just thought this was something everyone should see.

Update:

"sarah p" posted an update to per previous post on HillBuzz today that is worth checking out.

Update:

Another blog comment posted under the name of Anonymous_14 has been found at RedState. Many are saying that they believe this poster to be the "sarah p" from the previous post. Personally, it just feels different to me and I don't think it's the same person. My gut feeling tells me that this one's a fake, while I do think that the original "sarah p" post might be plausible...

I should mention that "sarah p's" statement about construction in Grant Park is being disputed as it is clear the Obama campaign is setting up there. But since that comment isn't very clear, I don't think that is entirely discrediting.

Obama Fights for the Middle Class

Barack ObamaSomeone noticed that Obama frequently shows up late to his Senate meetings and must have done a lot of work to put this montage together. An excellent portrayal of character for people who don't to care about his vast and growing list of radical associations. How can we expect him to be the Commander in Chief when he can't even do his job in the Senate?

LA Times: Obama Robo-Candidate
Wednesday, October 29 @ 03:42:17 EDT by default
Barack ObamaPeter Nicholas, a staff writer for the left leaning Los Angeles Times newspaper who has been assigned to follow the Obama campaign since the Democratic national convention admits, "After all this time with him, I still can't say with certainty who he is. ...Is he really ready to take over the toughest job on the planet?"

There was another moment not long ago when I tried to wrest from Obama some display of personality. ...No reaction. He was back in robo-candidate mode.

First Clinton, then John McCain made the argument that Obama is someone we don't really know. Obama's supporters counter that we have his record in the U.S. and Illinois senates, two memoirs that reveal his inner thinking and a vast trove of public speaking. Ironically, those of us who were sent out to take his measure in person can't offer much help in answering who he is, or if he is ready. The barriers set in place between us and him were just too great.
