Rush Limbaugh Meets with Barack Obama?

 Jason Lewis of KTLK-FM in Minneapolis was a surprise guest host today on the Rush Limbaugh show. He began the show mentioning that he was called to do the show yesterday afternoon. Rush was not scheduled to be away on Tuesday and there was no official word on where he was but Jason Lewis speculated that he may have been secretly meeting with the Messiah based on some comments made on the show yesterday:

"Now, remember, Obama said, 'Show me what works and we'll do it.' It seems to me, folks, that the simplest, fastest, and most direct way to do this is to bail out the rich. If we are going to save our economy the bailout of the wealthy cannot wait. The rich need further tax cuts. This is what's necessary and I would be willing to personally present this plan to President-elect Obama because it has worked. I'm just offering, a personal trip, nobody even has to know about this."
Tonight I ran across a story from Planet Washington that says that Obama's press pool followed him to a dinner party at the home of conservative columnist George Will, William Kristol and David Brooks were also noted to be among the guests.
Coincidence? The Chicago Sun-Times thinks so. They say Limbaugh was at the White House all day. I guess we may or may not hear the official word on it from Rush tomorrow. But I won't be surprised if he doesn't say anything either.
If you ask me this reaching across the isle crap is just a publicity stunt by the Messiah. Obama has no intention of lowering capitol gains taxes or of killing the bailout-mania that's going on in Washington right now.

Rush admitted yesterday that this whole thing was basically a prank he pulled on the media to see what they would do. Too bad, I was hoping for some change :)
