I just watched Joe Biden give a stump speech in Marion, OH. He had huge grey bags under his eyes, he rarely cracked a smile. His face had defeat written all over it. The Obama campaign has been toning him down lately. No doubt they are trying to limit him to his written speeches and keep him in the more Democrat-friendly regions. I’m sure they’ve been very tough on him lately trying to ensure that he isn’t the one that places the gaff that breaks the camel's back. It was unsettling how angry Joe Biden was while making this speech. I could just feel that he is beginning to regret running under Obama with all of his grandiose, utopian, impossible promises.
Joe Biden has been a United States senator for 35 years. He knows that Obama won’t be able to give free health care to every American. He knows that it is ridiculous to pull our troops out of Iraq when we are so close to victory. He knows that Obama has no intention of lowering taxes for 95% of Americans and that his true goal is to redistribute wealth to the lower class and he knows that these types of polices aren’t going to help a single person. Even Joe Biden knows that if you give a man a fish he will eat only for a day. It is only by teaching that man to fish that he will be able to eat for a lifetime.
Obama claims to be “the one” man who will at long last bring an end to partisan politics in this country. He will be the one to unite us all under the common goal of "equality" for every American. Yet instead of choosing the candidate who came in a close second in the Democratic primaries; Hillary Clinton, as his running mate, he chooses Joe Biden. Obama won by a very slim margin. There are still many Hillary supporters out there to this day who feel that they were cheated out of having their candidate nominated for President. Choosing Hillary would have shown the blue half of America that that he means business when he says that he is the unity candidate. He chose Biden because he knew Biden would follow his lead and he resented Hillary for the tough fight she put up against him during the primaries. During which I might add she made several good arguments against Barack Obama's proposed policies.
Recently Rush Limbaugh compared Barack Obama’s politics to those of Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and the like. Politicians, revolutionaries of this sort always rise to power on the promises a utopian vision. Often their success is driven on by anger against a sitting leader. When these types of men do manage to take control they have always used their power to ensure their own status in life and oppress those who might oppose them. Now I don’t mean at all to convey that Barack Obama is Fidel Castro, but we can see now through his own actions the possibility of things to come by looking at his choice in running mate, how he treats journalists who fail to portray him positively, how his supporters have already oppressed a lone American named Joe who dared to ask him a question and how the press (thoughts 1984's "Ministry of Truth" come to mind) refuses to investigate his many flaws.
Barack Obama’s campaign has been a farce from the very beginning. They wanted us all to believe the hype and give in to what we were all supposed to think everyone else wanted. That's not the America I know, and if I’m right America won’t stand for it.

I don't want to make any predictions here, but ... I think the tide is beginning to turn my friends.
